Double Expansion Anchor Technical Information

There are a number of technical requirements that need to be considered when installing double expansion anchors. Anchor size, anchor length, as well as hole size and bolt diameter need to be considered when using concrete expansion anchors. Expansion anchors can be used in concrete ranging from 2,225lbs. to 6,500lbs. Technical elements must be considered when choosing the correct expansion anchor size.

Reference should be made to applicable codes for the specific working ratio. Minimum embedment for satisfactory anchor performance is 4-1/2 bolt diameters. Deeper embedments will yield higher tension and shear capacity.
